Duties
- Develop and execute freight load plans using transportation management systems (TMS) Trucking Office and DAT.
- Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, and efficiency enhancements through data mining and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics management, and third-party logistics providers (3PL) to coordinate transportation activities.
- Collect, interpret, and report on transportation metrics to support demand planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in transportation planning for road transportation operations by optimizing routes, schedules, and freight loads to maximize efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of inbound and outbound freight movements, and logistics documentation and transportation management systems.
Requirements
- Be Flexible, and have proven experience with load, route and driver optimization.
- Strong technical proficiency with data analytics tools.
- Familiarity with Trucking Office, DAT, Driver's Hours of Service and the FMCSA guidelines is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of demand planning, freight optimization, and 3PL coordination is needed.
- Excellent data collection skills coupled with the ability to perform root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives.
- Ability to interpret complex data sets using data mining techniques and leverage insights for decision-making.
- Effective cross-functional communication skills to collaborate across teams involved in logistics and transportation operations.
- Prior experience with road transportation operations or transportation management systems (TMS).
- A proactive mindset with a passion for research, business analysis, and continuous process enhancement.
