The Telecommunications Manager is responsible for the performance and day-to-day management of all network connectivity services across approximately 450 locations.
This role manages vendor relationships, contracts, budgets, and service delivery for ISP, telephony, and mobile services, ensuring reliable, cost-effective, and scalable connectivity across the enterprise.
Reporting directly to the VP of Operational & Infrastructure Solutions, this individual will play a critical role in stabilizing, optimizing, and modernizing the company’s network connectivity through major initiatives such as network consolidation, telecommunication expense management, and driving vendor service quality.

Key Responsibilities
Telecommunications & Network Services Management
- Own and manage all internet, telephony, and mobile circuit services across 450 locations.
- Ensure vendors maintain consistent reliability for network uptime, performance, and SLA compliance across all sites.
- Act as the primary escalation point for vendor-related service issues impacting connectivity.
- Manage relationships with providers for telecommunications, mobile data and services
- Lead contract management, renewals, and terminations to optimize cost and service quality.
- Maintain full visibility in contracts, service terms, and vendor obligations.
- Ensure vendors are delivering services as contracted and billing accurately.
- Manage telecommunications budgets, forecasts, and ongoing cost optimization efforts.
- Coordinate circuit planning for new locations, relocations, and closures.
- Partner with Finance, IT, and Operations to align network services with business needs.
- Develop and maintain documentation, inventories, and reporting for all circuits and services.
- Establish/operate clear processes for service tracking, vendor performance, and issue resolution.
- Ensure leadership has visibility into network health, costs, and risks.
- Identify opportunities to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5 years of experience in telecommunications, network services, or infrastructure operations.
- Proven experience managing ISPs, telephony providers, and mobile carriers at scale.
- Strong background in vendor management, contract negotiation, and SLA enforcement.
- Experience managing large numbers of distributed locations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and control telecom-related costs.
- Strong coordination, planning, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Experience in multi‑site retail, franchise, or field‑services environment.
- Prior success consolidating telecom contracts or managing a telecom aggregator.
- General familiarity with network equipment (firewalls, routers, LTE backups, SDWAN) and modern network architecture.
