Laundry Aide – Memory Care ($22/hr Shift Differential)

Whispering Willows of Mount Vernon is a specialized memory care community committed to providing exceptional care to residents living with dementia. As a growing, high-performing community nearing full census, we are expanding our team and adding an additional Laundry Aide position to support our continued growth and maintain our high standards of care.
Position Summary
The Laundry Aide is responsible for ensuring all resident laundry, linens, and facility items are cleaned, handled, and returned promptly and accurately. This role is essential to maintaining resident dignity, comfort, and infection control standards.
Responsibilities
- Wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident laundry and facility linens
- Ensure proper labeling and return of clothing to the correct resident
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area
- Follow all infection control and safety procedures
- Monitor and report supply needs
- Assist with linen changes and support housekeeping as needed
Qualifications
- Previous laundry or housekeeping experience preferred (healthcare setting a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to work independently and stay on task
- Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Schedule (Set, Consistent Schedule)
- Sunday & Monday: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Tuesday – Thursday: 7:00 PM – 3:30 AM
Compensation & Benefits
- $22.00 per hour (day shift)
- $23.50 per hour for overnight shifts (includes $1.50 shift differential)
