Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily property operations, including leasing, renewals, and resident relations
- Coordinate property showings and lease signings, ensuring a smooth leasing process
- Maintain accurate records through data entry, filing, and updating property management software such as Yardi and OneSite
- Ensure compliance with Section 8, Fair Housing regulations, and other legal requirements
- Handle tenant inquiries via phone and in person with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette
- Support rent collection efforts and upselling of ancillary services or amenities to residents
- Oversee property maintenance requests and coordinate with facilities management
- Assist in lease negotiations, contract management, and renewal processes
- Manage conflict resolution between tenants
- Prepare reports related to occupancy rates, leasing activity, and compliance documentation
Skills
- Strong knowledge of Section 8 housing, and Fair Housing regulations
- Proficiency in property management software
- Legal administrative experience related to landlord-tenant law and lease contracts
- Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and conflict management abilities
- Experience in property leasing, sales techniques, upselling strategies, and negotiation skills
- Familiarity with property maintenance procedures and facilities management practices
- Administrative expertise including data entry, filing, and office management tasks
- Ability to handle legal documentation accurately while maintaining confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in recordkeeping and compliance documentation
- Effective communication skills for interacting with residents, vendors, and team members
