Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Audiology Patient Care Representative to join our team at Whisper Hearing Center. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative, clinical and retail support tasks. Your empathetic approach and attention to detail will ensure smooth clinic operations, accurate documentation, and a welcoming environment for all patients.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly, verify their appointment details, assist with check-in procedures, and provide basic walk-in triage for hearing aid repairs.
- Schedule appointments efficiently, coordinate patient flow, and manage clinic calendars with professionalism and accuracy.
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and conduct insurance verification
- Collect and process patient payments, including copays and outstanding balances, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical billing protocols.
- Inventory and manage hearing aid supplies, as well as coordinate repairs and prepare fit kits.
- Handle multi-line phone system with excellent phone etiquette to answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and provide prompt patient support.
- Assist with medical administrative support tasks such as tracking, data entry, and maintaining organized medical records and office supplies.
Experience
- Prior experience in a medical office setting or medical clinic environment is highly preferred, but not necessary.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with effective phone communication and professional demeanor in handling patient interactions.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
- Knowledge of clinical confidentiality policies and healthcare regulations such as HIPAA is helpful, but training will be provided.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with strong computer skills for documentation review and data entry tasks.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
