Whisk & Flame is an interactive cooking studio, not a traditional restaurant. Our classes are hands on, social, and experience driven. Guests cook together, learn new skills, enjoy what they make, and leave feeling confident and inspired. As an instructor here, you’re not just teaching recipes, you’re helping create memorable experiences.
We’re looking for passionate, engaging instructors who want to be part of a team building something exciting from the ground up.
About the Role
As a Cooking Instructor at Whisk & Flame, you’ll lead curriculum based cooking classes while also helping shape the future of our programming. You’ll work with established class formats and recipes, but we’re also excited to bring in creative people who have new ideas, energy, and a desire to help us grow.
This is a highly guest facing, interactive role. Instructors lead the room, guide the experience, and set the tone for the class.

- A hospitality professional who enjoys leading experiences
- A confident home cook who loves sharing skills and techniques
You should be comfortable speaking to groups and leading a room.
Compensation
- $100 base pay per class, plus tips
- Tips are paid directly to the instructor (tipping available at booking and in class)
- Typical hourly earnings range from approximately $35 to $50 per hour, depending on class size and guest tipping
Prep and cleanup are included and part of the role.
Most instructors teach 1 to 3 classes per week, based on availability and demand.
What You’ll Do
- Lead hands on cooking classes using our established curriculum
- Prepare for classes, set up stations, and manage class flow
- Teach techniques clearly and confidently to cooks of all skill levels
- Create a welcoming, fun, and low pressure environment
- Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and organization
- Clean down and reset the studio after classes
- Collaborate with the team on new class ideas, themes, and experiences
- Contribute creatively as we continue to build and refine Whisk & Flame

What We’re Looking For
- Strong cooking fundamentals and comfort in the kitchen
- Confidence leading groups and engaging with guests
- A positive, professional, and welcoming presence
- Reliable and organized
- Availability for evenings and weekends
- Teaching, culinary, or hospitality experience is a plus, but not required
- ServSafe and BASSET certifications are preferred or willingness to obtain
