The ideal candidate will be responsible for cutting heavy-duty cable to specific sizes for metal buildings according to customer orders. The position requires physical stamina and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate cable-cutting machinery, cutting cable up to 1/2” in thickness.
- Measure and cut cable to specific lengths based on customer specifications.
- Follow detailed work instructions to ensure quality and accuracy of cable cutting.
- Perform repetitive tasks with precision in a physically demanding environment.
- Safely handle heavy materials and equipment, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Keep workstations organized, clean, and properly stocked with necessary materials.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors and assist in resolving them.
- Work collaboratively with team members in the warehouse and cable operations areas.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of warehouse experience preferred, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Forklift/combi-lift certification a plus.
- Ability to read and follow work orders and instructions.
- Experience operating machinery or a willingness to learn (specific training will be provided for cable/rod-cutting operations).
- Physical stamina: Ability to lift, pull, and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
