DriveWhip is a mobility provider in the Washington, DC area, with offices in multiple cities, that Leases/Rents vehicles to Uber, Lyft and other On-Demand or Rideshare drivers. As a ground floor member of an exciting new company all associates will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities. An appreciation for the pros and cons of start up culture is a must.

Position Summary: The Auto Parts Department Associate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, fulfilling technician parts requests, and ensuring smooth coordination between the parts department and production team. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

- Receive, log, and organize incoming parts deliveries.
- Monitor stock levels and conduct regular cycle counts/audits.
- Ensure all parts are correctly labeled, stored, and accessible.
- Accurately pick and deliver parts to technicians in a timely manner.
- Track and record parts usage for repair orders.
- Work with vendors to resolve discrepancies, returns, and backorders.
- Partner with technicians, estimators, and managers to meet repair deadlines.
- Communicate stock shortages or delays promptly to management.
- Assist in setting and achieving departmental efficiency and productivity goals.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized parts area.
- Follow company procedures for handling, storing, and tracking high-value parts.
- Support process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, vendors, and management.
- Knowledge of stock control and order tracking systems.
- Familiarity with automotive parts; Tesla or EV experience is a plus.
- Strong ability to prioritize, multitask, and stay detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable using computer-based inventory systems and basic Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and spend time on your feet handling deliveries and stocking.
- Previous experience in parts management, warehousing, or a related field preferred but not required.
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit and use typical desktop computing workspace equipment - e.g. mouse, keyboard, monitor, phone - for extended periods of time.
- Manual dexterity to operate a typical desktop computing workstation.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, using virtual meeting and communication tools such as email, Google Meet, and Slack.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds, if required.
