Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining press brake machines to accurately bend and shape sheet metal components according to detailed blueprints and specifications. Your expertise will ensure the production of high-quality metal parts used across various industries. Duties
- Set up and calibrate press brake machines, ensuring proper tooling and safety measures are in place before operation
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to produce precise bends
- Operate press brake machinery efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety standards
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, and gauges to verify dimensions during and after production runs
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments on press brake equipment to optimize performance
- Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to ensure parts meet quality standards and production deadlines
- Maintain detailed records of machine settings, production data, and inspection results for quality assurance purposes
Experience
- Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment is a plus but no prior experience is require.
- Skilled in blueprint reading, and the use of hand tools for fabrication and assembly tasks
- Ability to perform quality inspections using calipers, and other precision measuring instruments
- Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, angles, and tolerances accurately
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to crane operation, tooling handling, and machine operation is essential
