Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise groups of children during various activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times.
- Implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote childhood development, behavior management, and social skills.
- Manage classroom or activity space effectively, maintaining organization and cleanliness.
- Provide first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any emergencies or behavioral issues.
- Collaborate with staff and parents to support each child's individual needs, including those requiring special education or behavioral support.
- Facilitate inclusive activities that incorporate elements of childcare, tutoring, or counseling as appropriate.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and policies related to childcare and early childhood education standards.
- Support the planning and execution of special events or camp activities that promote teamwork and personal growth.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, camp, tutoring, or similar environments.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to lead groups effectively.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies.
- Certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is a plus.
- Background in special education or experience working with children with diverse needs is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with staff, parents, and children.
- Passion for nurturing children's growth through engaging activities like sports coaching, theater arts, or Christian counseling.
