*The Intensive Academic Support Teacher vacancy at Whelan is considered a highly specialized position. In accordance with Article VII, Section 5(e), of the Local 920 Collective Bargaining Agreement, “A teacher shall not be eligible to transfer from a highly specialized position, such as MLL, severe/profound, or mild/moderate positions for the initial three (3) years of placement in said position, except as deemed appropriate by the Superintendent.”
*This position is a union position within the North Providence Federation of Teachers Local 920, American Federation of Teachers, AFL-CIO. Compensation for this role is paid in accordance with the salary schedule found on page 4 of the Local 920 Collective Bargaining Agreement (linked here), with the specific step placement determined by your years of relevant experience.
