Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage routes effectively. One is 1:30pm to 6:30PM Monday-Friday and the other is Midnight shift Linehaul bumping docks 4-1/2 hours total Monday-Saturday. IF YOU CAN'T COMMIT FULLY PLEASE DONT WASTE OUR TIME. THIS IS A 1099 POSITION!!!!
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 26' straight truck to transport goods to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Manage route driving efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to schedules.
- Load and unload cargo, including heavy lifting as necessary.
- Operate forklifts when required for loading and unloading tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse personnel regarding any issues or delays.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to commercial driving.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Previous experience in moving or courier services is advantageous.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and box truck handling is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily duties.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in route planning and delivery documentation.
