Job Title: Facility Maintenance
Job Status: Part Time – Non-Exempt

Reports To: Facility Maintenance Manager
Supervisory Responsibility: None
Essential Job Duties
- Assists in the performance of preventative maintenance on scheduled and seasonal basis.
- Assists in the set-up/break-down of all general use areas, to include tables, chairs, audio-visual equipment and sound equipment. Operates audio-visual and sound equipment as required.
- Provides custodial service for the CRC facility and Chevy Chase Country Club.
- Custodial tasks include, but are not limited to cleaning floors (vinyl and carpet and wood), windows, lavatories, shower/locker facilities, windows; emptying trash; dusting furniture; and arranging for occasional contract cleaning services; e.g., draperies. In outdoor areas, emptying of trash receptacles, cleaning of water fountains and cleaning of outdoor furniture.
- Performs the job safely and in compliance with Park District policies, procedures, work and safety rules.
- Supports and exhibits the established organizational values of respect, communication, integrity, innovation, recognition, continuous learning, fun, empowerment and people.
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
Position Requirements
Currently attending High School or High School graduate preferred. Dependability, punctuality, courtesy and the ability to complete assigned tasks in a safe, complete and positive manner alone, with WPD staff and Board members with general public and patrons present. Must be at least 18 years old. Hours: year-round part time, scheduled during normal CRC hours of operation, 3-8 hour shifts depending on departmental needs determined by the Facility Maintenance Manager.
Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrate consistent attendance and on-time arrival.
- Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
- CPR/AED certification or be able to earn within 60 days.

Working Conditions
- Most activities will be performed indoors.
- Driving to other park facilities will require the worker to be outside.
- Employee may be exposed to cleaning agents and toner chemicals.
