General Description:
As a Commercial Truck Sales Representative, you will help current and new customers in an assigned territory find the right vehicle to fit their Mack purchasing, rental and/or leasing needs. Through training, you will develop extensive industry and product knowledge. With access to state-of-the-art software, you will monitor and report on market intelligence which impacts business and pricing. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Frequent local travel to customer sites to build meaningful, long-lasting relationships as a trusted advisor
- Actively seek and develop new accounts and represent the company to potential customers
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of products and services provided
- Evaluate customer needs and make recommendations utilizing a value selling approach
- Meet sales goals set by management
- Comply with OSHA regulations and safety requirements pertaining to this position.
- Perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods of time, which may include light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting
Basic Requirements:
- Successful sales and/or business to business experience
- Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a CDL
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with heavy duty truck sales
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate or Bachelor degree in related field
Candidate Criteria:
- Strong oral and written communication ability.
- Commitment to follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner.
- Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team.
- Must be a self-starter and willing to take the initiative, able and willing to work without direct supervision, and be willing to attend appropriate training sessions.
