Job Summary
The WNV Property Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of residential tax-credit properties, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and maintaining high standards of customer service. This role involves processing applications/accurately calculating income to determine eligibility, managing tenant relations, property maintenance, leasing activities, and administrative tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the property. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of property management practices.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, tenant relations, and maintenance coordination.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and landlord-tenant laws.
- Utilize property management software such as HAB for data entry, filing, and customer relationship management.
- Conduct regular inspections of properties to assess compliance with occupancy standards and ensure standards are met.
- Handle tenant inquiries and resolve conflicts effectively through strong negotiation and conflict management skills.
- Prepare and manage contracts related to leasing agreements and vendor services.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, maintenance requests, and administrative tasks using automated systems.
- Foster positive relationships with tenants to enhance customer service experience and retention rates.
Experience
Candidates must possess a combination of the following skills:
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administration.
- Experience with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs and Section 8 housing regulations is desired.
- Strong understanding of facilities management principles and practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on relationship building and upselling services when appropriate.
- Administrative experience including office duties such as data entry, filing, and phone etiquette.
- Knowledge of legal administrative processes related to property management is advantageous. The WNV Property Manager role requires a proactive approach to managing properties while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
