Transport Coordinator

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Associate degree

2. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

EXPERIENCE:

1. Three (3) years of emergency medical services experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in emergency medical technology, nursing, business or related field.

1. Assists in the provision of optimal transportation services to patients being transferred to or from assigned hospitals.

2. Establishes verbal communication links and relays verbal communications to all appropriate patient care representatives.

3. Maintains all forms and documentation applicable for the position.

4. Accurately enters data and properly maintains the database utilized for the position.

5. Assists in the management of base operations.

6. Vehicle acquisition: Negotiating pricing and demands with manufacturers. Consideration of the vehicle's job and the load it must carry are required in forecasting and planning fleet purchases.
7. Designing and managing maintenance programs: Set preventive maintenance policies based on vehicle type, vocation and geography as it impacts driver safety, saves repair costs, and optimizes resale value.
8. Leading safety programs: When an incident occurs, potential negligence and brand damage come with staggering costs to organizations. The incumbent will work to minimize these risks.

5. May be required to work long hours.
