What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Nutritionist position at WHEELHOUSE Center For Health and Wellbeing?
WHEELHOUSE Center for Health and Wellbeing is an integrative medical center that offers comprehensive, personalized nutrition plans as the basis for care for a large percentage of our patients. We offer a team-based approach that combines internal holistic medicine with nutrition in an integrated model. We are currently seeking a nutritionist who is interested in providing personalized nutrition services to our patients 2-3 days per week. The candidate should have a masters level education and licensure in the state of CT. Our approach to nutrition is unique and requires significant training so the ideal candidate is someone with a strong background in nutrition as well as a willingness to learn the WHEELHOUSE model and provide our specific brand of nutrition counseling. This is a contract position so compensation is per patient session rendered. We hope to find a practitioner that will not only provide services for our incoming patients but also make efforts towards self promotion and practice building as well. We have a beautiful office full of light and ambiance with a private nutrition office space available. Additional requirements include:
- Team player
- Has liability insurance
- Meal planning skills
- Skill in research - example: appropriate substitutes and brands to fit personalized needs of the patient
- Passion for cooking/ skills in developing recipes
