Bookkeeper
FLSA Status: Non-exempt/Full-time
Location: Flushing, MI
Primary Function
Keeping financial records updated, preparing reports and reconciling bank statements. Run accounting software programs to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense voucher and receipts.
Performance Responsibilities – Essential Functions (Other duties may be assigned)
- Review and process loads for payroll transactions
- Entering bills and processing invoices accordingly
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
- Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
- Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
- Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
- Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database.
- Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
- Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
- Provide assistance and support to company personnel
- Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
- Occasional evening and weekends work may be required as job duties demand
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
Qualifications

- Must have at least 3 years of bookkeeping experience or Associates in Accounting or Finance
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
- Willingness to comply with all company, local, state and federal financial regulations
- Knowledge in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of Quickbooks
- Handle extremely confidential and sensitive information
