Job Summary
Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a motivated Process Engineer to support our client’s operations and maintenance team. This role provides technical expertise for all process-related functions, with a focus on optimizing ultra-pure water (UPW) systems. The Process Engineer will collaborate with O&M engineers, field technicians, and innovation teams to maintain excellent water quality, system performance, and operational reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Process Optimization
- Analyze UPW process performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and compliance with quality standards.
Troubleshooting & Technical Support
- Lead advanced troubleshooting efforts, including root-cause analysis and corrective action planning for process-related issues.
Documentation & Compliance
- Develop, update, and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and system standards.
Process Design & Engineering
- Create and maintain process specifications, P&IDs, mass balances, functional logic, and sequence-of-operations documentation for water treatment systems.
Project & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Support automation, commissioning, engineering, and innovation teams on system upgrades, modifications, and technology rollouts.
- Provide technical input to sales and procurement teams as needed.
Training & Knowledge Sharing
- Deliver process-related training and best practices to O&M engineers and technicians.
Safety
- Perform all tasks in full compliance with established safety procedures and organizational protocols.
Other Duties
- Complete additional responsibilities as assigned to support business needs.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Up to 3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Travel Requirements
- Ability to travel on a case-by-case basis for project support, troubleshooting, or onsite training.
