Job Description
The General Counsel Assistant will support M&A transactions, including managing confidentiality obligations, due diligence, and closing documents. The ideal candidate will have experience in M&A and corporate governance.
Main Responsibilities
- Support M&A transactions, including managing confidentiality obligations, due diligence, and closing documents.
- Evaluate and ensure documents are complete and ready for signature.
- Organize and maintain detailed indexes and files of executed M&A documents.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant paralegal experience, with a focus on M&A and corporate governance.
- Experience both at a law firm and in-house legal department is preferred.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with document management systems.
- Notary Public certification is required, with the ability to perform remote notarizations preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
