**Job Description**

Business Development Manager (BDM) serves as a high-energy, strategic role responsible for driving new market expansion and revenue growth. This role will operate in a high-impact, hybrid capacity with a "hunter" mindset, identifying and penetrating new business opportunities while maintaining strategic oversight of accounts through onboarding and early growth phases. In addition, the BDM will lead revenue generation by uncovering new opportunities, delivering a compelling Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) value proposition, and ensuring deep product adoption, with a focus on Wheeler Fit and Seating product lines.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **New Account Acquisition:** Identify, qualify, and aggressively pursue new business opportunities within the heavy-duty aftermarket industry.
  • **Account Onboarding (Hybrid CAM Phase):** Serve as the primary strategic lead for new accounts during their first year. Ensure seamless integration with WFS systems and drive immediate adoption of core product lines.
  • **Strategic Territory Management:** Manage a multi-state territory, maintaining a consistent physical presence through heavy travel to visit fleet headquarters and maintenance facilities.
  • **Margin-First Growth:** Focus on high-margin product categories (Wheeler Fit SKUs) to meet both individual revenue targets and contribute to company EBITDA goals.

  • **TCO Consulting:** Use a consultative sales approach to help customers reduce their Total Cost of Ownership through our integrated product and service solutions.
  • **Sales Documentation:** Maintain high-quality documentation of all sales activities and customer intelligence in the CRM (Quality over Quantity approach).
  • **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work closely with Customer Account Managers (CAMs) to transition stabilized accounts and partner with internal teams to resolve customer challenges.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**

  • **Industry Expertise:** Strong understanding of heavy-duty truck parts, fleet maintenance, or vocational markets.
  • **The "Hybrid" Skillset:** Ability to balance the aggressive persistence required for cold-calling/prospecting with the relationship-management skills required for account retention.
  • **Financial Literacy:** Ability to understand margin, EBITDA impact, and how product mix affects territory profitability.
  • **Communication:** Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to influence C-suite decision-makers at national fleets.
  • **Technology Proficiency:** Experience using mobile-friendly CRM tools and leveraging data (Power BI) to inform sales strategies.

**Travel & Physical Requirements**

  • **Road Warrior Mentality:** This position requires significant travel (75-80%), spending 2 to 3 weeks per month traveling within North America to meet customers face-to-face.
  • Must be able to navigate fleet shops and warehouses, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting of parts samples up to 25 pounds for demonstration purposes.

**Compensation & Benefits**

  • Competitive base salary plus a high-reward commission structure (6% payout on revenue over goal).
  • Eligibility for the annual Team EBITDA Kicker ($7,500 based on company profitability).
