SUMMARY

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Arizona Elementary Certificate K-8, Provisional or Permanent Gifted Endorsement or willingness to pursue during the 2026-2027 school year.
Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
Permanent Gifted Endorsement
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

Effective: 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
LOCATION: Wheeler Elementary School - 22nd St & Wilmot area
FTE : 1.0 - 7.5 hours per day
Work Calendar: 9.5 month
Teacher will provide instruction for 1st Grade
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position.

New Teachers to the District may be eligible for a one-time recruitment stipend (up to $5,000) if hired into one of the following positions: Ex Ed, Math, Science.
Probationary Contracts will be issued for any contingent Certifications, Positions that are 0.6 FTE or less, and certified employees within their first three years with the District.
