Responsibilities
- Coordinate incoming parts orders and ensure timely delivery by managing order management systems and ERP platforms.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers to negotiate pricing, lead times, and sourcing options to optimize procurement management.
- Oversee inventory control through accurate data entry, warehouse management practices, and utilization of CMMS or AS400 systems.
- Schedule and prioritize shipping & receiving activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards such as forklift operation and equipment repair protocols.
- Collaborate with automotive diagnostics, automotive service teams, and dealership personnel to fulfill parts requests efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of procurement activities, inventory levels, and logistics documentation to support demand planning and supply chain management.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal requests promptly and resolving any issues related to parts availability or order discrepancies.
Experience
- Proven experience in supply chain management within automotive repair, manufacturing, or dealership environments.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems (such as SAP or AS400), and order management platforms.
- Knowledge of procurement management processes including sourcing, negotiation, pricing strategies, and demand planning.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics, auto body repair parts sourcing, HVAC components, or OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Mechanical knowledge related to automotive or equipment repair enhances your effectiveness in this role.
- Strong organizational skills with experience in data entry, inventory management, shipping & receiving procedures, and logistics coordination.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate clearly across multiple teams involved in automotive service and manufacturing processes.
