The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services Coordinator (PRSC) assists in the handling of programs for the Social Services Department. PRSC shall possess a bachelor’s degree in a human services field (including but not limited to sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling or psychology) and have a minimum of one year of supervised experience in mental health or human services. This position will be responsible for providing counseling and intervention strategies for residents that are consistent with treatment goals and individual needs.
Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services Coordinator Responsibilities:
Complete Observations, MDS, and Care plans
Document resident progress in accordance with state and facility standards
Assist in delivering psychiatric rehabilitation services as outlined in individualized service plans
Support residents in developing life skills, social skills, coping mechanisms, and wellness routines
Assist with crisis intervention as needed
Facilitate or co-facilitate group
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to monitor resident needs and communicate concerns
Maintain a safe, supportive, and respectful environment that encourages participation and growth
Assist with contraband management, including room searches
Adhere to all HIPAA, safety, and infection control policies
