GENERAL PURPOSE
This position is responsible for assisting with the sale and maintenance of seasonal trees and greens.
Required Education, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Minimum of eighteen (18) years of age. Must be able to provide excellent customer service when working with the public and must have experience in retail sales or maintenance. Must demonstrate good communication skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to: consistently move about the facility on uneven ground while positioning one’s self to grasp trees and move them weighing up to 50 lbs. and over 50 lbs. with assistance; and occasionally move trees overhead or shoulders weighting up to 50 lbs., and over 50lbs. with assistance.
ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
Must be able to: be exposed to winter weather conditions including extreme cold, rain, ice, and snow for extended periods of time. This position will also walk on wet, muddy, slippery surfaces.

Essential Functions
- Maintain inventory of trees and other seasonal items.
- Interact with customers and assist with the sale and transport of trees and other seasonal items.
- Shovel snow, de-ice, and generally maintain walkways as needed.
- Collect trash and maintain grounds in and around sales area.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and other machinery as deemed necessary.
- Interact with the public offering information, assistance, or control when necessary.
- Assist with the repair and installation of holiday lights.
- Assist with set-up for tree sales.
- Maintain the highest level of safety in the work area through implementation of safety protocols and procedures.
- Provide a high quality of customer service in a professional manner to the internal customer that will facilitate team building and exceptional customer service to the external customer.
- Follow the Wheaton Park District and Cosley Zoo policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Proactively support the V.A.L.U.E.S. (integrity, fun, commitment, adaptability and growth, kindness, and service) on a daily basis.
