GENERAL PURPOSE
Responsible for a wide variety of light maintenance and custodial duties at the District parks and facilities.
Required Education, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Minimum eighteen (18) years of age. Must have good communication and time management skills and be able to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
Essential Functions
Must have and maintain: valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to: continuously walk/move and position one’s self to perform maintenance; occasionally climb stairs/ladder, repetitive use of hands/arms, vibration and grasping while working with tools and equipment, and move objects such as ladders, tools, equipment, etc. weighing up to 50 lbs., and over 50 lbs. with assistance, eye/hand coordination, and fine manipulation; occasionally walk on uneven ground. Must be able to drive.
ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
Must be able to: handle all weather conditions while traveling between facilities, frequently encounter rain, snow, insects, dirt, poisonous plants, grease, oil, mud; occasional confined spaces, heights over 12 feet, fumes, gases, odors, dust, mold, animal hair, dander, feces, noise over 85 dbls., wet, slippery floors and surfaces; rarely encounter pesticides, chemicals and smoke.
HOURS
Part-time year round 28 hours a week.
Days flexible Mon-Fri 7am-3pm.
$16-$18 per hour DOQ
SALARY RANGE
Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum
$15.00 - $18.75 - $22.50

Essential Functions
- Attendance at work site as scheduled; must be available to work other shifts and overtime as required. Must be available to be reassigned to another division if needed.
- Perform minor building and equipment repairs.
- Paint and stain District property where needed.
- Weed flowerbeds and grounds.
- Hardscape and landscape duties.
- Operate tractor, utility truck, hand tools, power tools, and other machinery as necessary.
- Shovel snow and de-ice as needed.
- Collect garbage and pick-up litter in parks.
- Path and road maintenance, includes hot & cold patching, gravel road grading, and seal coat.
- May be required to work special events.
- Wear personal protective equipment for job function when needed.
- Maintain effective two-way communication while dealing with concerns in the field with all district staff and immediate supervisor.
- Carry two way or cell phone communication at all times while working.
- Provide a high quality of customer service in a professional manner to the internal customer that will facilitate team building and exceptional customer service to the external customer.
