What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Instructor of Spanish -Modern and Classical Languages position at Wheaton College and Careers?
The Modern and Classical Languages department is taking applications for Adjunct Faculty positions for the 2025-26 school year. Instructors are needed for one Beginner-level Spanish course or two Intermediate-level Spanish courses for the Fall 2025 semester (August 27-December 18).
Each course meets for three 70-minute classes per week. The instructor would also need to offer two office hours per course s/he is teaching. Other responsibilities include preparing for class, writing assessments, collaborating with instructors of the same course, and grading. A master’s degree or higher in Spanish or related field is required. Experience teaching Spanish in secondary or higher education is preferred.
Salary Range: $935 per credit hour for a faculty member with an MA and fewer than 3 years of experience teaching at Wheaton - $1100 per credit hour for a faculty member with a PhD.
