ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:
- Analyze existing maintenance methods and implement processes to improve and streamline the preventive maintenance program
- Assist in Project Management and coordinate the procurement and administration of consultant and contractor services. Monitor vendor activities to assure contractual compliance
- Provide cost estimates, risk analysis, and production estimates for the evaluation of potential projects
- Routinely work with production on projects, priorities, and timetables as required
- Evaluate new manufacturing technology and recommend re-engineering options to improve the economy of maintenance
- Provide maintenance assistance as required on problems relating to operation of production equipment and facilities
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
- Utilize and record work in CMMS (SAP) daily
- Ability to work alone and with little guidance
- Work with Teammates and Electrical Supervisor utilizing a continuous improvement mindset to improve equipment uptime & effectiveness
- Follow all Health and Safety procedures set out by Wheatland Tube and OSHA, including LOTO.
- Consistently adhere to and support company policies, work instructions and/ or other procedures and API/ ISO requirements
- Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role
- Lead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three years multi-craft maintenance
- Experience in shop floor interfaces such as MES as well as SAP based platforms
- High School Diploma or equivalent
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Ability to communicate in English, use measuring and testing devices, hand and power tools and basic math calculations
- Mechanical aptitude necessary for fulfillment of job requirements
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. This includes ability to demonstrate competence in functions such as pivot tables, if statements, etc.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The information below outlines the aggregated physical demands of all positions within the Blytheville Facility. All shop floor job positions and tasks were considered to determine and objectively quantify the physical and cognitive demands that each Blytheville teammate requires to successfully carry out their duties and responsibilities.
PPE REQUIREMENTS:
The following personal protective equipment and clothing may be required to be worn continuously by some/all job positions.
- Enhanced visibility work uniforms
- Various types of eye protection (Safety glasses, goggles, etc.)
- Head protection such as hard hats or climbing helmets
- Fall arrest harness
- Hearing protection (standard and/or custom ear plugs)
- Foot protection (Steel toed footwear that may include metatarsal protection)
- Respiratory protection (dust masks and/or respirators)
- Welding helmet
- Welding attire
- Various types of face shields
MACHINERY AND EQUIPMENT:
The following machinery and equipment may be required to be operated by Wheatland Tube- Blytheville teammates frequently – constantly.
- Various hand tools
- Overhead cranes
- Various types of forklifts, industrial trucks, and elevated work platforms
- Various types of heavy machinery
- Welding and Cutting Equipment
