Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. Candidates with experience in refrigeration, plumbing, boiler systems, and general equipment repair are highly encouraged to apply. A valid driver’s license is required for travel between job sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment
- Read and interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, and technical manuals to accurately perform installations and repairs
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure efficient operation and extend equipment lifespan
- Respond to service calls related to HVAC/R systems and property maintenance needs
- Diagnose electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and perform necessary repairs, including welding when required
- Repair plumbing components associated with HVAC systems and ammonia refrigeration units
- Assist with system upgrades or modifications in accordance with engineering specifications
- Maintain accurate service records and report system performance, deficiencies, and completed work
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in HVAC service, construction, property maintenance, or related technical fields
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and understand HVAC design principles
- Experience with refrigeration systems; ammonia refrigeration experience preferred
- Familiarity with HVAC/R standards, equipment repair, and appliance repair practices
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters
- Welding skills and experience with boiler systems and mechanical repairs
- Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC applications
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites
