Driver Supervisor

Lead Operations, Support Drivers, and Promote Safety Across Las Vegas

zTrip, the nation's largest transportation provider, is seeking a dedicated and solution-oriented Driver Supervisor to support daily field operations throughout the Las Vegas area. In this role, you'll serve as the primary point of contact between drivers, passengers, and management, ensuring safe, efficient, and professional transportation services at all times.

Position Overview

As a Driver Supervisor, you'll provide hands-on field leadership by responding to operational incidents, assisting drivers, monitoring safety performance, investigating complaints, and ensuring company standards are consistently met. This position blends supervision, coaching, roadside assistance, safety management, and customer service to help keep operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities of a Driver Supervisor:

Driver Support & Field Operations

  • Serve as a primary field resource for drivers experiencing operational challenges.
  • Provide real-time assistance with customer concerns, service issues, route questions, and company procedures.
  • Communicate critical operational updates and driver concerns to management.
  • Promote professionalism, service excellence, and compliance with company standards.

Incident Response & Investigation

  • Respond to accidents, vehicle breakdowns, emergencies, and service disruptions.
  • Assess situations, coordinate appropriate resources, and help restore operations efficiently.
  • Document incidents through detailed reports, photographs, and supporting evidence.
  • Ensure all reports are completed accurately and submitted promptly.

Safety Monitoring & Driver Coaching

  • Observe driver performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct field audits, ride observations, and vehicle inspections.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and corrective feedback when necessary.
  • Reinforce company safety policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Participate in coaching and performance improvement discussions with drivers.

Vehicle Inspections & Compliance

  • Perform inspections of vehicles and safety equipment to verify operational readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety requirements and operational standards.
  • Inspect onboard technologies, cameras, electronic devices, and safety systems.
  • Report and escalate maintenance or safety concerns as needed.

Roadside Assistance & Fleet Support

Provide roadside assistance when safe and appropriate, including:

  • Jump-starting vehicles
  • Assisting with flat tires
  • Vehicle lockout support
  • Replacing bulbs and minor vehicle components
  • Addressing basic operational concerns

Additional fleet support responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating towing and recovery services.
  • Evaluating vehicle safety before returning units to service.
  • Removing unsafe vehicles from operation when required.
  • Documenting all roadside activities and service outcomes.

New Driver Support

  • Assist newly onboarded drivers during their transition period.
  • Provide guidance on safety procedures, technology platforms, company policies, and daily operations.
  • Help drivers navigate vehicle systems, communication tools, cameras, and related equipment.
  • Gather and communicate driver feedback to management.

Training & Development

  • Support driver orientation and onboarding programs.
  • Assist with ongoing training initiatives and compliance programs.
  • Reinforce expectations regarding safety, customer service, and operational procedures.
  • Promote continuous learning and professional development.

Fitness-for-Duty Monitoring

  • Observe and address potential signs of fatigue, impairment, or unsafe behavior.
  • Follow company procedures for reporting and escalating concerns.
  • Coordinate with management regarding required testing or investigations when necessary.
  • Take immediate action to protect public, passenger, and driver safety.

Video Review & Investigations

  • Assist with reviewing vehicle camera footage involving accidents, complaints, or safety concerns.
  • Document findings and support company investigations.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all company, customer, and driver information.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare accurate daily activity reports and operational summaries.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of incidents, observations, roadside assistance calls, and corrective actions.
  • Record information including:
    • Vehicle number
    • Driver information
    • Incident location
    • Type of assistance provided
    • Response and completion times
  • Ensure documentation supports compliance, insurance, safety, and operational requirements.

Additional Operational Support

  • Assist with office projects, traffic management, facility support, and special assignments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational goals.

Qualifications of a Driver Supervisor:

Required

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to remain professional and composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and roadside assistance capabilities.
  • Experience using mobile devices, applications, and technology platforms.
  • Reliable attendance and schedule flexibility.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Preferred

  • Experience in transportation, fleet operations, rideshare, taxi, logistics, dispatch, or related industries.
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or field management experience.
  • Experience performing roadside assistance or basic vehicle maintenance.
  • Familiarity with transportation technologies, camera systems, GPS devices, and fleet management tools.

  • Working outdoors in various weather conditions, including high temperatures.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules based on operational needs.
