The Health Informatics Specialist manages and analyzes healthcare data to improve the quality, safety, and efficiency of patient care. This position is responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and transforming healthcare data into meaningful information that supports Quality Improvement, Clinical Operations, and organizational decision-making. The Health Informatics Specialist collaborates with clinical, quality, and information technology teams to optimize electronic health record (EHR) systems, improve workflows, ensure data integrity, and support regulatory compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, computer sciences or related field. Master’s degree in health informatics preferred.
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a health informatics specialist or related field required.
- Advanced proficiency in programming languages and EMR software, such as SQL and Epic.
- Exceptional knowledge of health information system design and database management.
- In-depth knowledge of best practices in healthcare information management.
- Superb analytical, organization and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities are required.
