Duties
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), and electrical systems to minimize downtime
- Diagnose and repair equipment issues using schematics and technical manuals, ensuring swift resolution of mechanical or electrical failures
- Conduct appliance repairs and service tasks on various operational devices to maintain continuous productivity
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain HVAC systems, air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, and related components
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately identify issues and execute repairs
- Lead small maintenance projects or team efforts when necessary, providing guidance and support to junior technicians
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance logs
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or mechanical maintenance
- Knowledge of schematics, technical diagrams, and electrical wiring for troubleshooting purposes
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to repair diverse equipment including HVAC units, refrigeration systems, and general machinery
- Experience in construction or building maintenance is a plus
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide team members or coordinate maintenance projects effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail in diagnosing system issues
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
