What are the responsibilities and job description for the Skilled Metal Fabricator/Welder position at Whatcom Manufacturing Inc.?
Looking for someone experienced and mechanically inclined, with steel MIG welding skills (MIG 99%, very little if any stick). Must be reliable and have a clean driving record. Must be a team player, and take direction, be reliable and trainable to our methods.
Knowledge of:
· Know how to fabricate/build something from scratch/ idea or plan.
· Trustworthy
· Understand mechanical things
· Experience in a shop environment
· Iron worker punch/shear
· Band saw
· MIG
· Torches
· Plas
· Grinders
· Insurable driving record, and has reliable transportation
· Team player, and good communication skills
· Can drive tractor, forklift, some farm equipment
· BONUS IF YOU CAN MACHINE/ run a lathe or mill
Must have own tools, welding helmet, we will supply coveralls, gloves, consumables.
Hours are Monday through Friday, 8-4:30pm.
