2026 Campaign Manager — Whatcom Democrats

About the Campaign:

The Whatcom Democrats are seeking a Campaign Manager to lead our 2026 coordinated campaign and help elect Democratic candidates throughout Whatcom County.

The Campaign Manager will oversee field organizers, manage the volunteer program, coordinate voter-contact efforts, and support endorsed candidates under the supervision of the Campaign Chair.

Responsibilities:

● Develop and carry out a countywide field plan focused on winning candidate races.

● Recruit, train, supervise, and support field organizers and volunteers.

● Set and track goals for canvassing, phone banking, text banking, volunteer shifts, and

other voter-contact activities.

● Coordinate campaign activities with endorsed candidates and campaign teams.

● Maintain accurate campaign data and provide regular progress reports.

● Organize volunteer training, campaign events, and field activities.

● Represent the Whatcom Democrats professionally with candidates, volunteers, partners,

and the public.

● Work from the campaign office when not in the field.

● Complete other campaign-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have experience in political campaigns, community organizing, labor organizing, advocacy, or volunteer management. Strong leadership, communication,

organization, and data-management skills are required. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be available to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends, with increased hours as Election Day approaches.

Job Details:

The position is based in Bellingham, Washington, with regular travel throughout Whatcom County. This is a temporary hourly position paid at $25.00 per hour. The anticipated start date is the end of August, and the position is expected to continue through Election Day, November 3, 2026.

Expected schedule: approximately 40 hours per week.
