Grill Cook/Line Cook

Looking for Fast paced grill cook. 2 years of experience.

Must be available on Wednesday thru Saturday afternoon/evening shift.

Hours of operation 11:00 am to 9:00 pm

Closed Sunday Monday and Tuesday

• Set up and stocking stations supplies
• Prepare food for service ( chopping vegetables, slicing meat, or preparing sauces)
• Bake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry and other foods
• Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients
• Present, garnish and arrange final dishes
• Cook menu items and Specials
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
• Execute opening and closing procedures
• Perform as a team with other staff

The Line cook plays a vital role in the kitchen by assisting with various food preparation tasks to ensure that meals are prepared efficiently and safely. This position requires a strong attention to detail, a passion for food service, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in culinary settings and be committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Duties

• Assist in the preparation of food items according to recipes and menu specifications.
• Perform cooking tasks as directed, including grilling, frying, and baking.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and cleaning surfaces.
• Handle food items safely in compliance with health regulations and standards.
• Participate in the setup and breakdown of dining areas for events or service.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during busy periods.

Skills

• Experience in food preparation, cooking, and cleaning within a culinary or restaurant environment.
• Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
