What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Site Analyst position at What If Holdings?
The Company
Founded in 2012, What If Media Group is an award-winning performance marketing company that enables the world’s leading brands to acquire valuable new customers at scale. By leveraging data-driven engagement and re-engagement strategies across multiple marketing channels, and utilizing insights based on millions of consumer ad interactions each day, WIMG delivers cost-effective and profitable performance marketing solutions that extend lifetime value and maximize ROI. Headquartered in Fort Lee, New Jersey, WIMG is a multi-year honoree of both the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America and Crain’s Fast 50, which recognizes the New York area’s most rapidly expanding companies based on revenue.
The Role
We are looking for a Jr. Site Analyst to join the What If Web Product Team — a role that sits at the intersection of data, creativity, and cross-functional collaboration. This position serves as connective tissue between our technical teams (Engineering, Data Science, and Design) and our non-technical teams (Sales, Media Buying, and Content), translating insights into action and ensuring every department is aligned around revenue and user experience goals.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical aptitude alongside sharp communication skills — equally comfortable diving into a dataset and presenting findings to a non-technical stakeholder. Through deep analysis of recent and historical data and continuous testing, the Jr. Analyst works toward delivering the optimal experience across our website properties. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in office at our Fort Lee, NJ or Flatiron, Manhattan locations (NY/NJ candidates only).
Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Revenue Optimization — Serve as the primary analyst for one or more What If website properties. Conduct deep dives into user behavior, traffic patterns, and monetization metrics to surface actionable insights that directly drive revenue growth.
Ad Strategy & Sales Collaboration — Partner with the Sales team to evaluate, test, and manage advertiser promotions displayed across our sites. Analyze ad performance at the user level to maximize yield, and provide data-backed recommendations on advertiser prioritization and budget allocation.
A/B Testing & Experimentation — Design and execute A/B and multivariate tests across site pages, creative, and ad placements. Synthesize results to inform ongoing optimization decisions in partnership with Design and Engineering.
Cross-Functional Partnership — Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams. Translate complex data findings into clear recommendations for Sales, Media Buying, and Content, while effectively communicating business priorities to Engineering and Data Science.
Modeling & Personalization — Collaborate with the Data Science team to develop and refine models that identify optimal ad experiences for individual users, contributing both analytical input and business context.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
Demonstrated analytical experience with a strong foundation in math and statistics
Proven ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences
Experience with A/B testing methodologies and interpreting experimental results
Requirements
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across multiple teams
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, including advanced Excel
Hands-on experience with data visualization platforms such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to technical and non-technical audiences alike
Solid business acumen with an understanding of digital marketing and revenue ecosystems
Experience with SQL a plus
Familiarity with AI tools — including prompt engineering and emerging AI-assisted workflows — is a plus; curiosity about how AI can accelerate analysis and decision-making is strongly valued
