Shipping and Recieving Clerk

1. Tips: Provide a summary of the role, what success in the position looks like, and how this role fits into the Keeps an organized Shipping & Receiving environment. Includes packaging mezzanine and doc area (skids, WGI boxes, etc).

2.     Receives in and verifies all outside processing jobs from assorted vendors. Verifies packing slips are stamped as “received”.

3.     Verifies all packaging of outside processing orders and repackages as needed. Steel room / Material function and responsibility.

4.     Verifies counts of all outgoing orders and confers with the inspection department and purchasing department regarding any discrepancies on counts or condition of parts. Signs off quantity on work order with full name and date. Provides Purchasing with all weights on heat treat orders in an appropriate time frame.

5.     Verifies all gages, fixtures, blueprints, test pieces are with parts as required on work orders.

6.     Provides work bags to OSP buyer in a timely manner.

7.     Receives all MRO products into Visual after verification of quantity and condition. Verifies packing slips are stamped as “received”.

8.     Delivers MRO product to requisitioner.

9.     Verifies paperwork of finished parts being shipped to the end user.

10. Ships finished parts per instructions.

11. Keeps an acceptable amount of shipping supplies on hand as well as ordering and maintaining all supplies.

12. Works with purchasing department daily in order to schedule pick-ups, drop offs, and priorities depending on daily necessities and driver/vehicle availability. Confers regarding incoming partials.

13. Oversees any incoming drivers and vendors. Responsible for having them sign in and out as well as wear company supplied badge and eye protection.

14. Works with purchasing in order to get all packaging necessary for all outside machining jobs.

15. Picks up and delivers “hot jobs” when necessary.

16. Responsible for loading and unloading with a fork truck as needed.
