The Company
WGI MRO Services a division of WGI Inc. is an authorized FAA\EASA & CAAC Commercial & Military Aircraft Engine Component Repair Station and is seeking a Blending Technician for immediate hire.
About the Role
Blending & Deburring Technician
Responsibilities
- Reads and interprets written work order instructions, specifications, drawings, and blueprints to determine appropriate tool requirements to perform blend/deburr operations.
- Removes sharp edges and excess material from machined parts, to within the required tolerances as given on work order instructions and specifications by operating hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
- References work orders to verify correct quantities of parts are received, deburred, and subsequently forwarded to the next operation.
- Uses a variety of precision measuring instruments and tools to inspect deburr work performed; ensuring proper tolerances are maintained.
- Sets up, operates, and performs daily preventive maintenance of all machinery and equipment used in the department.
- Performs any task required to support customer requirements and company goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills
Deburr Operator Levels:
Deburr Operator 1
- Approximately 0-3 years of experience
- Entry Level- basic knowledge
- Learning duties/responsibilities
- Handles problems with assistance
- Requires day to day direction from Lead/Supervisor
Deburr Operator 2
- Approximately 4-9 years of experience
- Performs routine operations and standard work
- Handles routine problems
- Requires minimal direction from Lead/Supervisor on a day-to-day basis
Deburr Operator 3
- Approximately 10 plus years of experience
- Thorough knowledge of the job
- Can perform multiple operations and handle complex work
- Handles non routine problems
- Operates autonomously on day to day basis
- Provides informal leadership
Pay range and compensation package
$25 to $36.00 based on experience
