Job Duties

• Follow all safety regulations and encourage safe work practices.
• Follow all company policies and procedures and encourage co-workers to follow company policies and procedures.
• Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking
• Maintain filling of shipping documents
• Prepare and schedule shipments as required
• Oversee the secure and accurate loading and unloading of deliveries
• Track shipments and verify receipts of shipments as required
• Manage inventory of shipping materials and supplies
• Sort and distribute incoming shipments
• Perform quality audits of the condition of shipped good for both incoming and outgoing items
• Follow current standards and procedures
• Ensure that shipments contain proper documentation
• Problem solve for any cases of missing documents, shipments and deliveries
• Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures and safety regulations
• Make deliveries of parts to required area per forklift or other company vehicle
• Maintain organized work area according to policies, procedures and safety regulations
• Actively participate in developing a LEAN manufacturing culture
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced, high pressure environment with multiple projects at once
• Commitment to quality and safety
• Overtime as required
• Consistent attendance is an essential function of this position
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to communicate professionally with co-workers
• Ability to watch, duplicate and troubleshoot processes to make improvements
• Knowledge of workplace safety, safe lifting and handling procedures
• Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods and the tools required in various processes
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedure
• Meridian Forklift license

Working Conditions

• Ability to work with a variety of hand tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, 50 or more with assistance
• Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in conditions that include heat, humidity, cold and exposure to dust
• Regularly required to work outside in acclimate weather
• Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects
• Must be able to see, breath, stand, walk, crawl, bend, climb and stoop
