WFQ is seeking a skilled Tube Bender for one of our clients in Novi, MI. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in bending tubes and pipes to precise specifications. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work with various tools and machinery, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all aspects of production.
Duties for the Tube Bender:
- Operate tube-bending machines to shape metal tubes according to specified angles and dimensions.
- Utilize hand tools and machinery such as press brake machines and plasma cutters for fabrication tasks.
- Perform pipe threading and welding as needed to complete assemblies.
- Conduct quality checks using micrometers and other measuring instruments to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Operate forklifts for material handling when necessary.
Experience for the Tube Bender:
- Proficiency in FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) is preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools, press brake machines, plasma cutting equipment, and basic math skills for measurements.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment is highly desirable.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience with pipe threading and welding techniques is a plus.
- Forklift certification is advantageous but not required; training may be provided.
