The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of the quality assurance program including policies and procedures to ensure that products meet certain quality standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee Quality personnel, including QA Engineers, Document Control Clerk, QC Inspectors, and NDE personnel.
- Ensure products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system and customer requirements.
- Resolve quality issues relative to products, processes, customer complaints, and quality system requirements.
- Identify training needs and organize training to meet quality standards.
- Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers.
- Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Monitor risk management activities.
- Responsible for document management systems including the preparation and revision of policies and procedures for the Quality Management System.
- Monitor, record, and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system.
- Prepare and distribute reports to communicate performance and issues to other departments and management.
- Develop, recommend, and monitor corrective and preventative actions.
- Participate in organizational meetings on quality related issues.
- Establish and maintain a calibration program.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, or Quality Assurance and 3 year's experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
