Role Description
This is a part time, on-site role for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) at Weymouth Public Schools in Weymouth, MA. The role involves providing health care services to students, responding to medical emergencies, administering medications, and maintaining accurate health records. Additional responsibilities include consulting with educators and families regarding student health needs, promoting wellness initiatives, and ensuring compliance with state and federal health regulations within the school setting.
Responsible for one-to-one students with tracheostomies, G-tube feedings, AFO‘s and DMO‘s. Complete assistance and must be able to lift.
Qualifications
- Valid LPN or RN license in the state of Massachusetts
- Experience in administering medications, providing first aid, and using medical equipment
- Knowledge of health protocols, infection control, and school nursing best practices
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate health records
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and staff
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Experience working in a school or pediatric health care setting is preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, diverse environment
