The Juvenile Court Administrator performs all of the administrative functions for the Juvenile Division of the Probate Court. These tasks include: scheduling, maintaining and coordinating the Juvenile Court docket, operating electronic recording equipment, scheduling appointments, performing all of the statutory functions of the Juvenile Register, coordinating with other agencies regarding child placement and other related administrative duties.
· Education and Experience:
a. Primary: BA or BS degree in Legal Administration, Business Administration or a related field combined with 3 years of experience in a law related field.
b. Secondary: A degree in the paralegal field combined with 4 years of experience in a law-related field.
c. Alternate: High school degree combined with 6 years of experience in a legal profession position closely dealing with child protective proceedings and juvenile delinquent proceedings.
· Significant knowledge and ability to find and interpret court rules, statues and filing procedures/requirements
· Significant knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of an office manager
· Above average ability to work with attorneys, administrative agencies, police agencies and the public
· Ability to become a Certified Electronic Recorder or Certified Electronic Operator
