- Must be able to properly and professionally conduct numerous interviews regarding custody and parenting time
- Prepare legal stipulations and orders efficiently
- Conduct investigations for hearings regarding custody, visitation, and support
- Respond to clients’ questions and problems via telephone, letter, or in-office interviews
- Testify in Court as an expert witness
- Must have considerable knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of the Friend of the Court’s Office
- Ability to work well in stressful situations
- Ability to investigate in an efficient and accurate manner
- Ability to facilitate disputes and solve problems
- Ability to reason and process numbers effectively
- Perform related work as required
- Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license
- Must successfully pass training as an investigator and mediator
- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree is required. A Master’s Degree is preferred
