About the Role:
The Forklift Mechanic / Maintenance professional plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of forklift equipment within transportation and warehousing environments. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of forklifts and related machinery to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic components, and preventive maintenance techniques to extend equipment lifespan. Additionally, the mechanic will contribute to facility maintenance efforts, supporting a safe and operational work environment. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a mechanic specializing in forklift or heavy equipment maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of general mechanics, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and engine tune-ups.
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical manuals.
- Valid forklift operator certification or experience operating forklifts safely.
