Job description:
High-end food distributor with a modern flair in search of an Outside Sales Rep/Brand Ambassador within the Manhattan area.
The Company:
Our client is a single-label brand distributor/ purveyor of high end Italian Food, many of which are all natural and NON-GMO items. Nationally distributed, they are currently in 25 states encompassing all the major regions and food centric cities.
As a leader in healthy authentic Italian foods, their rapid growth is beginning to catapult them internationally. They are looking for a passionate and driven sales professional that can assist in maintaining and expanding their reach.
They serve the finest restaurants, country clubs, hotels, caterers, culinary schools and specialty food stores around the country. This position will provide opportunity to meet new and existing clients such as Chefs, Restaurateurs, business owners and some of the innovators and leaders in the NY Food Scene.
Position entails:
Create new leads in both retail and food service channels, Build and maintain healthy relationships with key account contacts, Maximize revenue in existing accounts, Brand management, Travel as needed to meet clients and promote brand.
The Brand Ambassador ultimately acts as the face of the company by delivering outstanding customer service and building strong relationships.
Job Responsibilities
- Promoting and selling a diverse, high end product line.
- Sales Associates will adapt the process of cultivating and producing sales revenue through the development and growth of new sales and by increasing sales with existing accounts.
- Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts.
- Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
- Close sales by building rapport with potential account; Showcasing product and service capabilities.
- Expand sales with existing accounts by introducing new products and services
Qualified applicants should possess:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in sales in food service, food distributors or Wine&Spirits industry
- High energy and enthusiastic
- Clean well-groomed appeal, elegant and well-mannered.
- Ideal candidates would live in the assigned geographic sales area
- Candidate should have a good understanding of the assigned sales area
- Food Service sales experience, Cooks, Trade Show experience, and Wine Sales reps welcome
Requirement:
- Driver Licence and own Vehicle
- Passion for Food Industry and Gastronomy
- Knowledge of quality Italian food
Compensation & Benefits:
**Please note: salary is COMMISSIONS ONLY. A weekly min.guaranteed is provided. Not a fix salary but commissions floor that you'll always receive if you earned commissions are lower.
The compensation includes weekly guaranteed minimum strong commission plan (2.5% of total sales 10% of gross profit) and benefits:
- $500 PR budget
- gas/tolls reimbursement
- health insurance with high employer contribution, based on the plan you choose
- 401k
- PTO: 2 w 5 sick days holidays
- $250–$500 car allowance.
