Responsibilities

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges while handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments with precision.
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and guiding them through product selections.
• Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging additional sales through effective upselling strategies.
• Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays, restocking shelves, and ensuring products are appealingly presented.
• Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and reporting low inventory levels.
• Demonstrate professional phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
• Support team members by supervising new staff when needed and sharing best practices for sales and customer engagement.

Requirements

• Previous experience with POS systems and cashiering is highly desirable.
• Proven supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail setting are a plus.
• Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions, discounts, and inventory counts.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are advantageous.
• Knowledge of grocery store operations or familiarity with grocery retail environments is preferred.
• Capable of standing for extended periods while maintaining high energy levels throughout shifts.
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to ensure positive interactions at all times.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
