What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Operations Technician position at Westwood One?
CUMULUS MEDIA | Centennial, CO, the nations leading broadcast network, has open opportunities in our Westwood One Centennial Technical Operations Center for a Network Operations Technician. The position include technical training for the right candidate.
Primary Function:
Monitor broadcast networks to ensure that all systems maintain maximum reliability and providing 1st tier technical support and customer service.
Basic Tasks:
- Ingest of content via satellite, Internet, ISDN, and WAN
- Audio routing and transmission via multi-channel satellite transmission system
- Constant monitoring, resolution and documentation of any network issues
- Provide technical support to commercial radio stations on a variety of technical platforms
- Escalate issues as needed to 2nd tier technical staff
- Problem resolution and escalation with established trouble ticketing system
- Able to work in a 24x7/365 environment
- Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- Education: Associate Degree or equivalent work experience
- Structured Training or Work Experience: Min 2 years of, IT and Customer Service experience preferred. Broadcast IT experience is a plus
