Duties
- Operate garment care machines such as industrial washers, and dryers to ensure proper cleaning of textiles.
- Handle laundry materials with care, including sorting, folding, and organizing linens, clothing, or other fabric items.
- Use push carts and other materials handling tools to transport laundry loads safely across the facility.
- Follow safety standards and protocols during all laundry processes to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of laundry areas by regularly cleaning equipment and workspaces.
- Assist with the proper use of laundry detergents and chemicals, adhering to safety guidelines for handling cleaning agents.
- Support customer service efforts by ensuring timely processing of laundry requests and addressing any special care instructions.
Requirements
- Prior experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely throughout the shift.
- Basic math skills for measuring detergents, chemicals, or fabric softeners accurately.
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and adherence to safety protocol guidelines.
- Familiarity with garment care machines such as washers, and dryers equipment is a plus.
