JOB SUMMARY
The Ward Clerk is an important position in our facility. Some of the job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Answer telephone, determine nature of call, and relay information within the facility as necessary
- Receive inquiries and release information in accordance with established policy and procedures and regulation
- Maintain a current list of residents by name and room number, emergency phone numbers of on-call personnel, department extensions, key personnel, etc.
- Locate personnel through the facility paging system when requested by facility designees
- Report suspicious persons/information to the supervisor immediately
- Assist with administrative duties
- Create positive resident outcomes.
- Respect others by treating them the way we want to be treated.
- Demonstrate kindness, compassion, honesty, and integrity at all times.
- Help create a culture of superior customer service.

REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior administrative and/or clerical experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel
- Healthcare or long-term care experience a plus
- Switchboard operation experience preferred
- Successful criminal background check
